PAM® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray

1 pkg (16 oz each) Duncan Hines® Dolly Parton’s Buttermilk Biscuit Mix

12 tablespoons butter, divided use

1 cup whole milk

CHOCOLATE GRAVY:

1 cup granulated sugar
-
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
-
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
-
2 cups whole milk

2 tablespoons butter

Step one
BISCUITS: Preheat oven to 425°F. Spray large baking sheet with cooking spray.

Pour biscuit mix into large bowl. Cut in 10 tablespoons COLD butter using your hands, a pastry cutter, or food processor. Create coarse crumbs of butter and incorporate into the dry mix. Stir in milk using a scoop-down and fold-over motion until soft dough forms. Do not overwork the dough.

DROP BISCUITS – Scoop dough into portions, about 3 tablespoons each and drop onto baking sheet.
ROLLED BISCUITS – On a floured surface, roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness using a floured rolling pin. FOLD dough in thirds, turn dough 90° and roll out again. Repeat. ROLL dough one final time 1/2 to 3/4-inch thick. Cut out biscuits using a 2-inch biscuit cutter and place on baking sheet.

Bake 9 to 11 minutes, until golden brown. Melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter and brush over hot biscuits before serving.

CHOCOLATE GRAVY: Whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, and flour in a large skillet until blended. Whisk in the milk.

Heat over medium heat until thickened, whisking constantly, about 8 minutes. Remove from heat and whisk in the butter until melted and smooth.

Pour hot gravy over warm biscuits to serve your biscuits with chocolate gravy!
