1 pkg (15.25 oz) Duncan Hines® Dolly Parton’s Holiday Sugar Cookie Mix

1/2 cup melted butter

1 egg

20 round peppermint candies

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

2 teaspoons vegetable oil

Directions

Step one
Adjust oven racks to upper and lower third of oven. Preheat oven to 350°F.

Stir cookie mix, melted butter, and egg together in a medium bowl until well blended.

Scoop dough into 1 tablespoon portions and roll each into a ball.
Place 12 cookies onto each of two large ungreased baking sheets. -
Step four
Bake cookies 10 to 12 minutes. Edges of cookies will begin to crisp and lightly brown, and centers will be soft. Cool on pans 2 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.

Place peppermint candies in a resealable bag, seal the bag, and crush candies into small bits. Line your work surface with parchment or waxed paper.

Pour chocolate chips and oil into a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave 30 seconds. Stir and continue microwaving in 15 second increments until melted and smooth.

Dip cookies halfway into melted chocolate. Place cookies on parchment and decorate with crushed peppermint. Let stand until chocolate is set and serve!
